Joelle Adelson
Collaborative Lawyer & Mediator
Best Divorce Attorney - Canada

I have been practicing law for over 30 years, having started my legal career at a full-service Toronto law firm working primarily in tax and estate planning and adding family law and mediation to my practice in 2004. In between, I completed the Canadian Securities Course and worked as an investment advisor for 5 years. With this combination of experience I am uniquely positioned to offer you the expertise that you are looking for.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Civil Law and Bachelor of Laws. I am a member of the Law Society of Ontario. I have completed Level I and Level II Collaborative Law training, intensive Mediation training, and continue to upgrade my professional knowledge and expertise, including regular attendance at the annual conferences hosted by the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) and the Ontario Association of Collaborative Professionals (OACP).

I am currently the President and a Member of the Board of the Ontario Association of Collaborative Professionals, and served as Chair of Peel Halton Collaborative Inc. from 2013 to 2017. I have been a member of the IACP since 2009.

I am a member of the Collaborative Family Law Group of Grey/Bruce and Collaborative Practice Simcoe County.

I have two grown children, a son and a daughter, a dog, and a cat. I am an avid knitter, artist, jeweller, and will, at some point, return to the piano. Having recently relocated to Meaford, I enjoy many of the activities this area is known for: skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and reading by the fire.
